Welcome to Castle Laurita!

Laurita Winery is THRILLED to announce that 4-time Guinness World Records holder Ed Jarrett will be attempting, once again, to break the ‪#‎WorldRecord‬ for the Tallest Sandcastle on Earth, right here at Laurita!!

The picture below was taken the last time Ed broke the World Record, also in New Jersey, in Point Pleasant after Hurricane Sandy:

The logistics of this project are, in a word, unbelievable. On the property right now is a giant, 1.2 MILLION pound pile of sand that Ed will attempt to craft into the World’s Largest Sandcastle, again, complete with flag turrets, 360-degree viewing boardwalk & moat!

Together we will all watch this beautiful structure rise into the air over the next several weeks. And when it’s done, we will toast the sculptor and admire the majesty of a World Record.

Here are (left to right) Ed Jarrett, Plumsted Township Committeeman Mike Wysong, Peter Johnson of Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm in Jobstown, and Laurita Winery co-owner Randy Johnson.

And as of April 23rd, here is the progress Ed’s made already in his quest to reclaim the World Record for New Jersey!

Stay with us on Facebook as we track Ed’s progress over the next few weeks!

Just looked you up to see your progress. Good Luck! You’ll surely produce a record worthy of your fifth title! Just one correction in the write-up. Your fourth castle was in Point pleasant Beach☺️!
