Laurita Winery 2017 Festival Season Event Help Wanted!

Laurita Winery is seeking friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic associates to work at our winery for our  2017 Festival Season and Special Events. Looking for candidates that are willing to provide out of the box customer service and treat customers with a friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable, and genuine manner.

We are looking to hire for the following positions:

Tasting and Wine Pourer Associate and Bar Backs (Must be 18 or older)

Candidate with effective and result driven sale’s skills a must both for wine sales and wine club membership. Job requires flexibility, intuitive skills, and a willingness to run a flawless tasting and pour bar while providing a Best of Class customer experience. Because we are small and treat our employees like family, we are willing to work with the right candidate in providing a learning experience to enrich their skills.
We are looking for someone who has the capability of serving customers at the Wine and Tasting Bars with the main focus on customer service, sales, upselling and growing the wine club. The objective is to cultivate customers into long term, loyal members of the family through the experience you provide. This will be measured by sales and wine club sign ups.

The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, self-motivated and comfortable with multi-tasking. Must be able to communicate our story and unique brand positioning with each and every customer.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

TASTING AND WINE POURER ASSOCIATE:

  • Set up, open and closes Wine and Tasting Bar.
  • Greets all visitors to the Bar and maintain a high level experience from start to finish with each and every customer.
  • Pours and describes wines, history of the family and business and the uniqueness of the brand.
  • Assists customers with sales, shipping, and wine club sign ups.
  • Willingness to be productive and helpful at all times and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain a flawless and clean bar.

BAR BACK ASSOCIATES:                                                                                                                                  

  • Set up, open and close Wine and Tasting Bar
  • Assist Tasting and Wine Pourer Associate by restocking bar as needed glasses, ice, wine, and any other items needed at the bar.
  • Assist opening wine bottles as requested.
  • Restock wine from winery and sub warehousing to designated bars and locations as requested.

Starting Rate of Pay: $8.50 an hour plus tips (Please note these are pooled tip rate positions)

The following experience required but willing to train the right candidate:

  • Wine pourer and knowledge
  • Cashiering
  • Sales and Customer Service
  • “TIPS” Certification a plus

 

Cashier Associates (Must be 18 or older)

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up, open and closes register for Wine and Tasting bar.
  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
  • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.

Starting Rate of Pay: $10.00 per hour (non-tipped position)

The following experience a plus:

  • Cashiering
  • Sales and Customer Service

Greeters and Loader Associates (Must be 18 or older)

In this position you will be handing out programs; floating and monitoring in a specific area or location (building, trolley, tent, etc.), directing attendees to areas, advising attendees of the day’s events and providing support where needed. As part of the greeter team, you will have a strong presence on the festival grounds and you may be asked to assist with the attendees on and off of the buses and trolley shuttle service. You will be asked to be aware of issues, such as, attendees bringing in coolers with outside beverages and food or possibly lost or unsupervised children. This position involves interacting with attendees and their guests.

Starting Rate of Pay:  $10.00 per hour (non-tipped position)

The following experience a plus:

  • Sales and Customer Service

Grounds Maintenance (Must be 16 or older)

Garbage, Recycles, and Restroom maintenance: making routine rounds to pick up trash and empty trash cans and recycle bins. May also include the inside restrooms upkeep; keeping them cleaned and supplied with toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels.

Starting Rate of Pay (dependent upon previous experience): $8.50- $10.00 per hour (non-tipped position)

The following experience a plus:

  • Grounds clean up and Customer Service

Admissions (Must be 18 or older)

Set up, open and closes Register for the admission gate booth.

Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits and/or checking in Pre-paid attendees at one of the two admission gates.

Starting Rate of Pay: $10.00 per hour (non-tipped position)

The following experience a plus:

  • Cashiering
  • Sales and Customer Service

ID Checkers (Must be 21 or older)

Collecting and checking VALID ID for age verification for 21and older and issuing wrist band for 21 and older.

Starting Rate of Pay: $11.00 an hour (non-tipped position)

The following experience a plus:

  • Restaurant/ Bar Customer Service and ID Checker

Parking Lot Associates (Must be 17 or older)

Man the entrances and parking lots, give direction to vendors to enter and where to meet festival coordinator for assigned spaces for load out and where to return to park any vehicles. Give direction to attendees to which lot they are parking in and to see the parking attendees at that location for direction to parking spaces.

Starting Rate of Pay (dependent upon experience): $8.50 to $11.00 an hour (non-tipped position)

The following experience a plus:

  • Festival or Special Event Parking

Bus and Trolley Drivers (Must be 21 or older)

Our drivers must become passionate, caring, reliable, and safety conscious individuals. Drivers will be responsible to transport the attendees to and from the parking lot to the drop off for the main festivities safely.

Starting Rate of Pay (dependent upon experience): $11.00 to $12.00 (non-tipped position)

The following experience and licenses are required:

  • Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring and timely manner
  • Must possess a valid License (for at least 2 years) with proper bus and passenger endorsements or CDL.
  • Must have a clean driving record with no points
  • Must have a great work history with a track record of being a reliable responsible individual (must provide references from previous employer(s).
