We’ve already told you about some excellent summer wine pairings and we hope you were able to enjoy them. Now, comes the desserts. One important thing to remember when choosing a dessert wine is that the wine should be just as sweet as the dessert, with enough acidity for balance. The best dessert wines are typically late-harvest; that is, made from grapes left on the vine past regular picking times to build sugar levels.

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, because chances are you love dessert. Guilty or not, there’s nothing more tantalizing than cheesecake. Combine this with wine and you’ve just made your palate extremely happy. A good pairing would be Laurita’s Tailgate Red.  Its hints of sweet berries are practically screaming to to be paired with a berry cheesecake.
